About Us

Meet Vortex Hockey.

We’re a group of friends who are passionate about sport. We have all played hockey or ferried our kids to hockey games, and whilst our best playing days are all behind us, we still love the banter, spirit, and togetherness that you get from being part of hockey.

We took over the Vortex business in 2020 with the aim of building on everything put in place by the founding team. Whilst 2020 might seem a crazy year to have taken on a new business, it did teach us that we can never again take for granted the joy of sport, competition and your local club and we realised that it offered us a chance to give something back.

At Vortex we think we are a little bit different. Obviously, we would love it if our sticks were used by an Olympic champion one day (after all they are great sticks), but for us that would just be the cherry on the cake. Our focus is, and always will be, on supporting all players in the hockey community. Whether you are squeezing in a game for the 4s every few weeks, coaching the U9s or rampaging up and down the wing for the Vets, we are here for you. We know what hockey means to you and we share that love for the game. At Vortex our champions are the people that are the fabric of every club - the umpire secretary, the fixtures secretary, the coaches, the umpires, the treasurer and everyone else that keeps a club running. We want to celebrate your commitment and support your efforts.

This is why our partnership programme is at the heart of everything that we do. We want to make sure that our success not only helps to grow our business but also helps support the game, the clubs and the people that make hockey happen. If you want to find out more detail about how we can work together please click here or email [email protected] To help us on this journey, we’d encourage you to get in touch. Tell us your ideas, send us your scores, join us on Facebook and we will share and support where we can. Most importantly of all, whatever stick you use, get out on the pitch whenever you can and enjoy your hockey!
